Congratulation to Assistant Professor Ram Prasad Suwal faculty of Department of Architecture who has been selected in Training Course on Cultural Heritage Protection in the Asia-Pacific Region 2017 on “Preservation and Restoration of Wooden Structures” held from 29th August- 28th September 2017 at Nara in Japan. It is our pride that among 42 countries, 16 countries have been screened throughout the world in which Department of Architecture; Nepal Engineering College (Affiliated to Pokhara University) has been selected from Nepal.

Congratulations to Professor Dr. Hari Krishna Shrestha whose paper has been published in the latest issue of the Department of Water Induced Disaster Management (DWIDM) Bulletin, (July 2017), Government of Nepal.  The paper is entitled "Preliminary regional analysis of 100 year return period flood in Nepal. The paper summarizes the results of specific flood flow (m3/s/km2) of all the major river basins of Nepal. Nepal Engineering college & Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) India jointly conducted a two-day faculty development programme on “ACTIVE & CO-OPERATIVE LEARNING” at Hotel Shambala, from July 14th to 15th, 2017. The FDP aims to provide opportunities to faculty members to enrich their teaching skill. The Programme also intends to develop the knowledge of participants for active and cooperative learning with advanced tools in the relevant field for inculcating learning values in students and guiding and monitoring their progress. The FDP was attended by 48 participants from various engineering colleges and universities
