Manohara

Manohara is situated by the bank of Manohara River in Jadibuti, Bhaktapur. People from various part of the country reside in this community and the main language for communication is Nepali. Though being is the only squatter area of the project sites the living standard of this community is higher as compared to other communities. It incorporates 820 household and population of approximately 4800 including 2556 female and 1206 children. There are different types of drinking water source in this region viz; tubes well, dug well, and spout however these sources are not recommended for drinking and not easily accessible. Since this is the squatter area with very congested living condition the sanitary condition is very poor with open and unsystematic drainage system.
